Documentary Evidence Needed
The documents necessary will depend on a number of factors, such as whether or not you have applied for other Work Permits in the past few years, and whether or not a candidate is being transferred within an international group of companies.
Remember that the list of data and documents provided below is simply to give you an idea of the type of information that we will require, to prepare your case successfully. Once fastUKpermit have taken on your case, we will provide details of the exact data and documents that will be required, based on your specific circumstances, to ensure a successful outcome.
General - Work Permit Applications
Documents
- References covering the last three years of the candidate's career, on corporate letter-headed paper, confirming the periods of the candidate's employment, position, details of the job duties, responsibilities, and skills required to perform the job.
- The candidate's educational or vocational qualifications.
- Any UK Work Permits previously issued to the candidate.
- Passport of the candidate if they are currently in the UK.
- If the candidate will work on a third party project, a copy of the signed contract with the third party.
- Any advertisements that may have been placed in order to find someone from the resident labour market, before pursuing a Work Permit application. These should show the date and name of the publication in which they were run, and should be accompanied by the invoice from the publishers.
Data
- A brief, specific job description of the position.
- The candidate's CV confirming the candidate's work experience.
- Salary package on offer to the candidate, including all benefits.
- Any efforts taken to fill the position from the resident labour market, prior to pursuing an application for a foreign national. This includes details of rejected applicants and, where there are a number of vacancies, details of any employees that you have already hired.
- Location/s where the candidate will be working in the UK.
- Any specific projects which the candidate will work on.
- New foreign investment, if any, that is conditional the candidate being hired.
- Jobs that will be created, or saved from redundancy once the candidate is hired.
Never applied (startup company)
For a startup company that has never applied for a UK work permit before, we will need the following, in addition to the details in the general section above.
Documents
- The company's certificate of incorporation
- Any office lease signed by the company
- The company's VAT registration certificate
- Corporate brochures/publicity material
- The company?s business plan.
Data
- The headcount, positions, salary, and immigration status of UK employees.
- The management heirarchy in the UK.
Never applied (established company)
If you are an established company that has never applied for a UK work permit before, we will need the following, in addition to the details in the general section above.
Documents
- The company's latest annual report and accounts.
- Company brochures, catalogues, or other publicity material.
Data
- The headcount, positions, salary, and immigration status of UK employees.
- The management heirarchy in the UK.
Applied in the past
If you have applied for UK work permits in the past, we only need the details in the general section above.
Never applied - staff transfer
If you need to transfer a member of staff within an international group of companies and you have never done this before, we will need the following, in addition to the details in the general section above.
Documents
- The UK company's annual report and accounts.
- The overseas company's annual report and accounts.
- Documentation showing the connection between the UK and the overseas company.
- Company brochures, publicity material, etc.
Data
- Explanation of why the candidate's experience is necessary to do the job or details of why a transfer to the UK is necessary to develop the candidate?s career.
- The headcount, positions, salary, and immigration status of UK employees.
- The management heirarchy in the UK.
Applied in the past - staff transfer
